Terms of Service

PinPoint is an injection site tracking and rotation tool. It is designed to help you record injection locations, rotate between sites, track vials, and organise notes related to your self-injection routine.

PinPoint is not a medical device, a clinical tool, or a healthcare service. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations of any kind. Nothing in PinPoint, including site suggestions, rotation history, calculator outputs, camera scan results, or any other feature, constitutes or replaces advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

You must not use PinPoint as a substitute for professional medical judgment. Always follow the guidance of your prescriber and the instructions that accompany your medication. Our full Medical and Liability Disclaimer forms part of these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to use PinPoint. By using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, do not use PinPoint.

PinPoint is available in multiple countries. Where local laws restrict the use of apps of this nature, you are responsible for ensuring your use is lawful in your jurisdiction.

PinPoint does not require an account. Your injection and health data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and for any backups of your data. We cannot recover data you have deleted or lost.

No free tier

PinPoint requires an active subscription to use. There is no free version of the app and no free feature set. A subscription is required to access the Service from first launch.

Subscription plans

PinPoint is offered as a weekly or annual auto-renewing subscription. Pricing, duration, and what each plan unlocks are displayed in the app at the time of purchase, prior to any charge.

Billing

All payments are processed by Apple or Google through their respective app stores. We do not handle your payment details directly. Purchases are subject to the payment terms of Apple or Google, as applicable.

Cancellation

You may cancel a subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we do not offer refunds for partial periods except where required by applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

Free trials

Where a free trial is offered on a plan, you will be charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends. Trial availability and length are shown in the app and at checkout before you subscribe.

Price changes

If subscription pricing changes, the change applies from your next billing period and you will be notified in accordance with App Store or Google Play requirements, which may include the opportunity to consent to or decline the new price.

If PinPoint is permanently discontinued (meaning the app is removed from sale and ceases to receive updates or remain functional), active subscribers will receive at least 30 days' advance notice by in-app notice, or by email where we hold an address. We will stop offering subscriptions for renewal and take reasonable steps, including notifying Apple and Google, so no further charges occur. During that period, we will provide a means to export your locally stored data in a portable format where technically feasible.

If PinPoint or substantially all of its assets are acquired by, or transferred to, a third party, existing subscriptions will continue to be honoured by the acquiring or successor entity, subject to their own terms, or you will be notified of any change that affects your access.

You may use PinPoint only for lawful personal purposes. You must not:

• Use PinPoint for any purpose that is unlawful in your jurisdiction
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app
• Use automated tools to access, scrape, or interfere with the Service
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security or access control mechanism
• Misrepresent the outputs of PinPoint as medical advice or clinical data
• Use PinPoint in any way that could harm another person

You are solely responsible for ensuring that any medication, compound, or substance you choose to track using PinPoint is lawfully obtained and lawfully used in your jurisdiction. Recording a substance in PinPoint does not constitute endorsement, encouragement, or facilitation of its use by us.

The optional camera scanning feature transmits a single, user-triggered image off your device over an encrypted connection to our own processing service, which forwards it to Anthropic, PBC (United States) for automated identification of the body zone in frame. By using this feature you consent to that transmission. The image is not stored by our processing service, is not retained by Anthropic, and is not used to train AI models, in accordance with Anthropic's API data retention terms. Full details, including which providers are involved, are in our Privacy Policy.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or output of the third-party processing service. If that service is unavailable, the camera feature may not function. The rest of the app operates independently of it.

PinPoint may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, including affiliate partners. These are independent of PinPoint. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, products, services, or practices of any third party. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.

Affiliate links may result in us receiving a commission if you make a purchase. This does not affect the price you pay.

You may enter health-related information into PinPoint. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You understand and accept that:

• You are entering this information voluntarily
• PinPoint makes no clinical use of it
• We cannot access it, and it is your responsibility to protect your device

All content, design, code, branding, and features of PinPoint are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use PinPoint on devices you own or control, for personal purposes. No other rights are granted.

You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of PinPoint without our written permission.

If you downloaded PinPoint from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

• These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for PinPoint or its content.
• Your licence to use PinPoint is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service, except that the app may be accessed by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
• Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for PinPoint.
• In the event PinPoint fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to PinPoint.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to PinPoint, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection or similar law.
• In the event of a third-party claim that PinPoint infringes intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Equivalent provisions apply to Google where required by Google Play's terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PinPoint is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Any information or output in the app is accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose
• The Service will meet your requirements

Nothing in these Terms excludes any guarantee or right that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, health outcome, revenue, or goodwill, arising from or in connection with your use of PinPoint or reliance on any output it produces.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of PinPoint will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or AUD $10, whichever is greater.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability under the Australian Consumer Law for consumer guarantees. For such liability, where permitted, our liability is limited to the resupply of the service or the cost of having the service resupplied.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your use of PinPoint in breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third-party right.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of PinPoint at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where practicable.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted at trypinpoint.io with a revised "last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide notice through the app or website. Your continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance.

We may suspend or revoke your subscription access, or cease providing the Service to you, if you breach these Terms. Because PinPoint does not use accounts, termination in practice means the revocation of your subscription access or the discontinuation of the Service. Upon termination, your locally stored data remains on your device.

You may stop using PinPoint at any time by deleting the app.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria for any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of PinPoint.

If you are a consumer located outside Australia, you may also have rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your own jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

We encourage you to contact us at hello@trypinpoint.io before initiating any formal dispute. We will make a genuine effort to resolve issues directly.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions continue in full force.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Medical and Liability Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of PinPoint and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
